Roxette - Turnê Room Service - 2 de Novembro, 2001 - Viena, Áustria
O ônibus saiu de Budapeste às 11:30. Após uma única parada, chegamos em Viena em
torno das 15:30. Por não termos conseguido um lugar para estacionar, pedimos
para os caras da segurança em frente a Stadhalle se podíamos deixar o ônibus em
algum lugar. Havia um espaço entre onde os caminhões de equipamento e do ônibus
do Roxette estavam estacionados, então o nosso estacionou próximo a um dos
caminhões.
Quando saímos do ônibus, já haviam alguns fãs aguardando em frente a entrada
principal do estádio. Alguns membros do grupo húngaro sairam para procurar um
lugar para... mijar. Quando voltaram, nos disseram que havia uma entrada
"secreta" para o Stadhalle. Fomos lá, então não precisamos aguardar horas no
frio - já que a entrada era dentro do salão, com aquecimento e tal. Naquela
hora, foi meio que incrível termos encontrado essa entrada. E por estamos dentro
do estádio, conseguimos ouvir os testes de som: Roxette estava tocando Dangerous,
The Centre Of The Heart, Milk And Toast And Honey e Crush On You para finalizar
os testes de som. Essas músicas já estavam ótimas...
Às 18:30 nos permitiram entrar, então corremos para a Halle D, onde o concerto
aconteceu. Já que nossa entrada era mais próxima à Halle D (e haviam apenas mais
ou menos 50 fãs na entrada), chegamos primeiro. O palco tinha uma pequena
passarela, vários fãs húngaros (felizmente including eu) chegaram na primeira
fila. Meu cotovelos estavam nas linhas que separam o público da passarela.
Quem abriu o show foi, uma garota girl com algumas músicas cativantes - e umas
outras que é melhor esquecer. Quando ela terminou, houve um intervalo de alguns
minutos, que pareciam serem eternos. Finalmente, as luzes apagaram e o Roxette
começou a tocar...
Crush On You - Simplesmente a música perfeita para a abertura do show.
Soou tão forte, com mais guitarras do que no álbum. Havia uma tela enorme ao
fundo (alguns dizem que foi a maior tela da turnê) que cobria toda a parede do
estádio. Durante Crush On You, as letras da músicas apareciam piscando na tela.
A Marie cantou o refrão um pouco diference, mas bem melhor do que álbum.
Dressed For Success - Começando com um "yea yea yea" forte, Marie fez um
ótimo trabalho enterpretando a música. Apesar de terem bagunçado um pouco a
letra (ambos disseram "Look Sharp!" na hora errada)... mas foram bons. Marie, no
fim da música, arrancou o casaco de couro preto que ela vestiu durante as duas
primeiras músicas. Então, o Roxette comprimentou o público.
Listen To Your Heart - Marie cantou algumas frases de um modo diferente
do que no álbum. Novamente, foi ótimo.
Waiting For The Rain - Outra música que fica bem melhor quando tocada ao
vivo.
Real Sugar - Um dos melhores momentos do show. Per havia dito
anteriormente que essa música não poderia ser tocada ao vivo pois "é uma música
típica de álbum". A música não esteve na programação por um bom tempo.
Felizmente ele mudou de idéia e fez uma excelente performance de Real Sugar.
Enquanto isso, Ray, o guitarrista-boneco do vídeo clipe apareceu na tela e ficou
fazendo caretas o tempo todo! Estava tão engraçado!
It Must Have Been Love - O grupo húngaro levou algumas flores, rosas
vermelhas, para a Marie. Quando ela estava cantando IMHBL na passarela, a garota
do meu lado passou as flores para a Marie. Marie foi gentil, quando ela pegou as
flores, percebeu que eu queria tirar uma foto. Ela ficou esperando até que eu
ajeitasse minha câmera fotográfica!Quando eu tirei a foto, ela agradeceu as
flores. Ela pareceu estar feliz.
The Centre Of The Heart - Essa foi completamente diferente ao ser tocada
ao vivo. Um monte de guitarras, uma performance bem forte. Na tela estavam
mostrando algumas cenas que foram excluídas do vídeo clipe dessa música...
Stars - Hmm, talvez essa tenha sido A música que ficou completamente
diferente quando tocada ao vivo.. Sintetizadores, guitarras, baterias... tudo.
Que música!
You Don't Understand Me - The only song when Per wasn't playing the
guitar but on synthesizer. Marie was on the catwalk during the whole song. On
the screen there were the animal puppets from Per Gessle's I Want You To Know
video. Actually they looked very stupid...
Fading Like A Flower - Acoustic performance, the band left the stage,
Marie and Per came out to the end of the catwalk and sang the song together with
only one acoustic guitar. They continued with
Spending My Time - Performed in the same way as FLAF.
Dangerous - They started playing the song in the dark and suddenly the
all the flash lights were turned on. This wasn't a good joke for my eyes since I
couldn't see a thing for a while and then my eyes started tearing. But it got
better by the end of the song.
Sleeping In My Car - It ROCKED! Marie changed a refrain a bit, she sang "staying
in the backseat of my car making love to you" and then, looked at the audience
and started to point at people saying "and to you", "and to you", etc. I almost
fainted when she looked at me and said: "and to you".
Milk And Toast And Honey - Beautiful.
Wish I Could Fly - Was different from the album version, more like a
blues song. I like it very much.
-Band presentation- They introduced the band. When a musician was
introduced, a picture of him was shown on the screen - as he was arrested and
photoed by the police (with a criminal record number). Jonas Isacsson had the
funniest picture.
The Big L - Sounded so great!
Joyride - During the song, 5 HUGE balloons were let into the audience.
People where playing with them like little kids :-) A couple times the balloons
got up to the catwalk - but Marie kicked them back to the audience. She could
make a perfect football player...
Little Girl - The band left the stage, all lights were turned off. Marie
entered, lit a small lamp and sang Little Girl while playing on the piano on one
side of the stage. When she finished, she turned off the light. Per, on the
other end of the stage lit his own small lamp and started playing
Crash! Boom! Bang! - Soon, the band also came in and joined the song,
which they didn't finish the way they do on the album but started playing
Anyone - Beautiful.
Hotblooed - The most powerful moments of the show. It really really
rocked, Marie was like woooaaaa.
The Look - Also sounded great and fresh. During the song, billions of
little pieces of paper were blown to the audience - imitating snow. What a
feeling! Marie was walking around the catwalk and greeted the fans in the first
row by shaking hands with them. She shook hands with me!!! (Her hands are sooo
smooth!)
Queen Of Rain - The goodbye song. After the song, Roxette said goodbye
and emphasized that love was the most important thing in life. They left the
stage and they wrote a line on the screen: "Do what you want but harm no one".
They left this sentence on the screen. The audience was very grateful and went
mad when they came back to perform a bonus song,
Church Of Your Heart - Marie and Per, together with the band, were
standing in one line in the front of the stage, singing this song. A fantastic
ending to the show.
That night Marie really stole the show. She was fantastic. In many interviews
she said that eye-to-eye contacts with the fans were very important to her. This
is true, she was looking at the audience all the time - she was looking at me
many times! The Hungarian fans took a flag with the words "Hello you fool,
Hungary loves you" (in Swedish). They both read it (Per read it even twice, he
looked very funny standing at the end of the catwalk, playing the guitars and
trying to read what's written on that Hungarian flag) and smiled.
When the show was over we started going home and we arrived in Budapest at 3:00
AM. It was a fantastic night...
